(TA.) You say, فُلَانٌ يُبَارِى الرِّيحَ
سَخَاءً [Such a one vies with the wind in bounty]: (T, S:) [for] the bountiful man whose gifts are common is likened by the Arabs to the wind because it blows upon all in common, not only upon particular persons. (Ham p. 445.)
