فِيءَةٌ
A party, portion, division, or distinct body; or a company, or congregated body; synonym فِرْقَةٌ, (T,) or طَايءِفَةٌ, (S,) or جَمَاعَةٌ; (M, K;) of men: (T, M:) [see more in article فيأ, to which it belongs according to some: according to others,] it is originally فِيءوَة [apparently فِيءْوَةٌ] (T) [or فِيءْوٌ (see article فيأ); or فِيءْىٌ or فِيءْيَةٌ (see what follows)]; the ة being a substitute for the [final radical letter, which is و or] ى: (S:) the plural is فِيءُونَ (S, M, K) and فِيءَاتٌ. (M, K.) El-Kumeyt says,
meaning [Thou wouldst see, in consequence thereof, their skulls become] scattered fragments. (S.)تَرَى مِنْهُ جَمَاجِمَهُمْ فِيءِينَا
