تَفَرْعَنَ

He (a man, TA) affected the nature, or disposition, of the فَرَاعِنَة [plural of فِرْعَوْنُ, and here meaning such as are inordinately proud or corrupt or unbelieving, &c., as were the Pharaohs]. (S, * K, TA.)
