is similar to مُعَارَضَةٌ (assumed tropical:) [The act of mutually opposing, and apparently with roughness, coarseness, or the like]: (TA:) and signifies a state of mutual enmity or hostility. (IDrd, K.) See غِلْظَةٌ, below, last sentence.
