مُغْتَمِرٌ

Palm-trees (نَخْلٌ) imbibing water from a copious source. (AHn, K.) [See also غَامِرَةٌ, voce غَامِرٌ.]

And (assumed tropical:) A drunken man: (Sgh, K, TA:) as though intoxication had drowned his reason. (TA.)
