غِرْبِيلٌ

a word said to signify A sparrow: occurring in the saying, in a tradition of Ibn-EzZubeyr, أَتَيْتُمُونِى فَاتِحِى أَفْوَاهِكُمْ كَأَنَّكُمُ الغِرْبِيلُ [Ye came, or have come, to me opening your mouths as though ye were the sparrow]. (TA.)
