[signifying lies, falsehoods, or untruths,] is said to be a word that has no proper singular: or it is plural of كَذِبٌ, contr. to analogy: or its singular is مَكْذَبٌ: like as is said of مَحَاسِنُ and مَذَاكِرُ &c. (MF.)
