كَأْبَاءُ

Grief, mourning, unhappiness, sorrow, or sadness: (K:) [in which sense the verbal noun كَابَةٌ is more commonly used:] or intense grief, &c.: used both as a verbal noun and as an epithet. (TA.) See كَيءِيبٌ.
