عَدْو. (AZ.) You say, خُذْ
رِجْلَيْكَ بِإِكْرَابٍ [Take up thy feet with speed,] when you order one to hasten in his pace. (S.) In this sense, أَكْرَبَ is said of a man, but seldom; and of a horse, or other animal that runs. (Lth, Lh.)
