كَرْبَانُ

A vessel nearly full: (S:) feminine كَرْبَاءُ; plural كَرْبَى and كِرَابٌ. (TA.) Yaakoob asserts, that the ك in this word is a substitute for the ق in قَرْبَانُ; but ISd denies this. (TA.)
