and ↓تلفّت, (S, K,) [He looked aside, or about,] the latter of which signifies more than the former, (S,) are from لَفَتَهُ عَنْ رَأْيِهِ: (K:) you say, التفت إِلَى الشَّىْءِ, and إِلَيْهِ↓تلفّت, He turned his face towards the thing. (TA.)
