لَمَأَهُ

, and لَمَأَ عَلَيْهِ, aorist لَمَاَ , He smote his hand upon it, [or laid his hand upon it, or seized it,] openly or secretly. (K.)

لَمَأَ الشَّىْءَ He took the whole thing; took it entirely. (K.)

لَمَأَ الشَّىْءَ, (K,) verbal noun لَمْءٌ, (TA,) He glanced, or took a slight look at the thing; beheld it quickly: like لَمَحَهُ. (K.)
