لَقِفَهُ

He seized it, or took it quickly; (S, M, K;) namely, a thing thrown to him with the hand, or said to him. (M, TA.) See also last sentence of 1 in art. حنك.

تَلَقَّفَهُ مِنْ فَمِهِ

He caught it and retained it quickly, [i. e., what he said,] from his mouth. (TA.)
