تَمْزِيَةٌ

The praising, or eulogizing [another]. (K, TA.) You say, مَزَّيْتُهُ عَلَيْهِ, syn. فَضَّلْتُهُ. (IAar, TA.)

Thou thoughtest, or hast thought, thyself superior to us in excellence: and so تَفَضَّلْتَ. (TA.)

i. q. تَفَاضَلُوا. (TA.)
