قَارِعَةُ الطَّرِيقِ

The higher, or highest, part of the road; the part that is trodden by the passengers; [the beaten way]. (Msb.) In law books explained as meaning أَطْرَافُ الطَّرِيقِ; opposed to its جَادَّة.
