i. q.تَنَازَعُوا الرَّجَزَ بَيْنَهُمْ, (A, K,) and تَعَاطَوْهُ, (TA,) i. e. They recited verses, or poetry, of the metre termedرَجَز, one with another: (TK:) [or vied, one with another, in doing so.]
