مِرْتَاجٌ

A thing with which a door is closed, or made fast; synonym مِغْلَاقٌ; (S;) [apparently a kind of latch:] it is affixed behind the door, in the part next to the lock. (Ibn-'Abbád, TA in article عربض.)
