سَبْرَتَ

He begged; and became lowly, humble, or submissive; or affected to be like the مَسَاكِين [or destitute, or needy, &c.]; synonym قَنَعَ; (K, TA; [omitted in the CK, and in my MS. copy of the K erroneously written قَنِعَ;]) and تَمَسْكَنَ. (TA.)
