مَثْلَبَةٌ

(S, M, Msb, K) and مَثْلُبَةٌ (M, K) A fault, vice, or the like: (S, M, * K: *) or [properly] a cause of [blame or] reviling: (Msb:) plural مَثَالِبُ. (S, A, Msb.) You say, مَا عَرَفْتُ فِى فُلَانٍ مَثْلَبَةً [I have not known in such a one a fault, or vice, or cause of blame, &c.]. (A, TA.)
