مَوْعُودٌ is one of the inf. ns. which have pls. governing as verbs; its plural being مَوَاعِيدُ. Ex. مَوَاعِيدَ عُرْقوب أَخَاهُ بِيَثْرِبَ [As 'Orkoob's promisings of his brother in Yethrib.] (IJ, ISd.) See عُرْقُوبٌ.
