[Hence, apparently,] ضَرَبَ أَخْمَاسَهُ فِى
أَسْدَاسِهِ
He turned his five senses towards his six relative points; [namely, above, below, before, behind, right, and left:] an allusion to the collecting all the thoughts to examine a thing, and turning the attention in all directions. (MF.)
