مَخْيَرَةٌ

[A cause of good: and hence,] excel-lence, and eminence, or nobility: so in the phrase, فُلَانٌ ذُو مَخْيَرَةٍ [Such a one is a possessor of eminence, &c.]. (A, TA.)
