زَرَدَانٌ

The vulva of a woman: (K, TA:) according to some, (TA,) so called because it swallows (يَزْدَرِدٌ), or because it compresses (يَزْرُدُ [in the CK يَزْدَرِدُ again]), (K, TA,) i. e. يَخْنُقُ, (TA,) the أُيُور, by its straitness. (K, TA.)
