Such a one made the dirhem to exceed: or, made it to fall short. (TA.)

أَشَفَّ عَلَيْهِ [if not a mistranscription for أُشِفَّ, which I rather think it to be,] He excelled him, or surpassed him. (TA.)

أَشَفَّ الفَمُ
