أَخَوِيٌّ

Brotherly; fraternal; of, or relating to, a brother, and a friend or companion: and also, sisterly; of, or relating to, a sister; because you say أَخَوَاتٌ [meaning “sisters”]; but Yoo used to say ↓ أُخْتِىُّ, which is not agreeable with analogy. (S, TA.)
