عَلْبَى

, said of a man, His عَلَبِىّ [or rather عِلْبَاانِ, the former being plural, and the latter dual, of عِلْبَاء, q. v.,] became apparent, by reason of old age: (O, K:) or according to the T, his عِلْبَاء became depressed. (TA.)
2.
عَلْبَاهُ He cut his عِلْبَاء [q. v.], (O, K, TA,) i. e., his slave's علباء: (K, TA:) or he perforated his (i. e. his slave's) علباء, (K, TA,) and put into it a string, or thread. (TA.)
