Also A place where the سِدْر [rhamnus nabeca, or rhamnus spina Christi, a species of lote-tree,] grows: plural عُلُوبٌ. (AZ, O, K.) [Accord. to Forskål, (Flora Aegypt. Arab., p. cvi.,) علب (thus written by him, and also “ œlb, ” apparently for عِلْب,) is an appel-lation applied by some in El-Yemen to the tree which he calls Rhamnus nabeca rectus.]
