عَنْسَلٌ

A swift she-camel; (S, K;) as also ↓ عَسْلٌ: (K, TA: [العَسَلُ in the CK, as synonym with العَنْسَلُ, is a mistranscription:]) the ن in the former is augmentative; (IJ, S, TA;) for, as Sb says, the word is of the measure فَنْعَلٌ from [the verbal noun] العَسَلَانُ; not, as Mohammad Ibn- Habeeb asserts it to be, synonym with عَنْسٌ, and of the measure فَعْلَلٌ, with the ل augmentative.
