خِذْقَةٌ

A piece, or portion cut off, of a rope: plural حِذَاقٌ and حُذَاقٌ; as in the phrase, تَرَكْتُ الحَبْلَ حِذَاقًا and حُذَاقًا [I left the rope in pieces]. (K.) [See also what next follows.]
