الدَّوَالِيكُ

The act of urging, or pressing forward, and striving, (تَحَفُّزٌ,) in gait, or pace, (Ibn- ' Abbád, K,) and parting the legs widely (تَحَيُّكٌ) [therein]; (Ibn-' Abbád, TA;) as also ↓ الدَّالِيكُ. (Ibn- ' Abbád, K.) A poet uses the phrase يَمْشِى الدَّوَالِيكَ [Walking, or going, with urging, &c.]. (TA.) [See also دَوَالَيْكَ, in article دول.]
