مَرِسٌ

A strong man: (TA:) or a man (S) strong, or vehement, in labour or exertion: (S, M:) and strong, experienced in affairs, and who has laboured, or exerted himself, in the management, or transaction, thereof: plural أَمْرَاسٌ. (TA.) You say also, إِنَّهُ لَمَرِسٌ حَذِرٌ, meaning, Verily he is strong in the waging of wars. (TA.)

هُمْ عَلَى مَرِسٍ وَاحِدٍ They are alike in dispositions. (S, TA.)
