مَرِيسِيَّةٌ

[in the modern Egyptian dialect مَرِيسِى] The south wind, that comes from the direction of مَرِيسٌ, which, says AHn, is the lowest part of the country of the Nubians, next to the district of أُسْوَان. (M.)
