رَقُودٌ

and رَقَّادٌ (A) and يَرْقُودٌ (K) [all signify the same; i. e. A man who sleeps much; as the last is explained in the K and so رُقَدَةٌ; as Golius says on the authority of a gloss. in the KL: or] رَقُودٌ signifies a man always sleeping; as also مِرْقِدَّى. (TA.) [Hence,] اِمْرَأَةٌ رَقُودُ الضُّحَى [A woman who sleeps much in the morning after sunrise; meaning] (tropical:) a woman that leads an easy, and a soft, or delicate, life; and so نَوءُومُ الضُّحَى.
