سَبْتَاءُ

A [desert such as is termed] صَحْرَاء: (AZ, K:) or أَرْضٌ سَبْتَاءُ is like
صَحْرَاءُ: or a land in which are no trees: (M:) and i. q.
مَسْبُوتَةٌ [i. e. a bare land; as though shorn of its herbage]: (TA:) plural سَبَاتِىُّ. (M.)

Also, [in like manner] a feminine epithet, Having spreading, or expanded, ears, whether long or short. (K.)
