خُنِاقٌ

[Quinsy;] a certain disease which pre vents the passage of the breath to the lungs and heart; (K;) as also [↓ خُنَاقَةٌ thus in modern Arabic, and] ↓ خُنَّاقٌ: plural خَوَانِيقُ (TA) [and خَنَّانِيقُ, thus in modern Arabic].
