مَصِيفٌ

A place of remaining, staying, dwelling, or abiding, during the [season called] صَيْف; (S, O, TA;) as also مُصْطَافٌ (S, K, TA) and مُتَصَيَّفٌ: (TA:) and a time thereof: (Sb, M, TA:) plural مَصَايِفُ. (Msb.)

And A place in which dates are dried in the [season called] صَيْف. (Har p. 165.)

[Also particle n. of the verb in the phrase صِيفَتِ الأَرْضُ:] you say أَرْضٌ مَصِيفَةٌ and مَصْيُوفَةٌ Land rained upon by the rain of the [season called] صَيْف. (S, M, O, K.)
