ظِلَالَةٌ

Also A cloud that one sees by itself, and of which one sees the shadow upon the earth. (K.)

And one says, رَأَيْتُ ظِلَالَةً مِنَ الطَّيْرِ i. e. غَيَابَةً [apparently meaning I saw a covert, or place of concealment, of birds]. (TA.)
