بُنُوَّةٌ

Sonship: (Lth, Zj, S, M, Msb, K:) [it may be originally بُنُويَةٌ, for Az says, apparently on the authority of Zj,] it is not a decisive proof that the last radical is و, since they say فُتُوَّةٌ, though the dual [of the word from which this is derived] is فَتَيَانِ; (T;) [and ISd says that] بُنُوَّةٌ is thus because of the dammeh.
