دُبٌّ, (M, A, K,) in both these senses: (M:) and (assumed tropical:) a natural disposition, temper, quality, or property. (S:) You say, رَكِبْتُ دُبَّتَهُ, and
دُبَّهُ (M, A) (tropical:) I kept to his state, or condition, and his way, mode, or manner, of acting &c.; and did as he did. (M.) And دَعْنِى وَدُبَّتِى (assumed tropical:) Leave thou me and my way, mode, or manner, of acting &c.; and my natural disposition, &c. (S.)
