غَيَّةٌ

[Hence,] وَلَدُ غَيَّةٍ, and
غِيَّةٍ, (K, TA,) but the latter is said by Lh to be rare, (TA,) The offspring of fornication or adultery; (K, TA;) opposite of
وَلَدُ رِشْدَةٍ. (TA.) And one says also
اِبْنُ الغَىِّ [meaning The son of fornication or adultery]. (L in article بهث.) And هُوَ لِغَيَّةٍ, (S, Msb,) and
لِغِيَّةٍ, said in reviling a person, He is, or was, unlawfully begotten; (Msb;) opposite of
لِرِشْدَةٍ. (S.)
