جَرَدٌ

(assumed tropical:) A wide, or spacious, tract of land in which is no herbage: (S, A, K:) a verbal noun used as an appellative subst. (A.)

أَجْرَدِهِ (assumed tropical:) He (a man, TA) was shot, or struck with a missile, on his back. (K.)
