جَرَدٌ, (TA, as from the K,) which last is a verbal noun used as an epithet; (TA;) (tropical:) A place (A, K) destitute of herbage: (S, A, K:) you say أَرْضٌ جَرِدَةٌ (S, K) and
جَرْدَاءُ (A, K) and
جَرَدِيَّةٌ, (TA,) and فَضَاءٌ
أَجْرَدُ: of which last the plural is [جُرْدٌ and] أَجَارِدُ. (S.)
