قَرْبَانُ

A vessel nearly full: feminine قُرْبَى: (S, O, K:) and plural قِرَابٌ: (S, O:) you say قَدَحٌ قَرْبَانُ
مَاءً i. e. [A drinking vessel] nearly full of water: and the ق in قربان is [said to be] sometimes changed into ك: (TA:) so according to Yaakoob; but ISd denies this. (TA in article كرب.)
