قَايءِتٌ

[act. particle n. of قَاتَ; Feeding, &c.

And hence, Sufficing]. القَايءِتُ مِنَ العَيْشِ means What is sufficient [of the means of subsistence]. (K.) And one says, هُوَ فِى قَايءِتٍ مِنَ العَيْشِ He is in a state of sufficiency [in respect of the means of subsistence]. (S. O.)
