خَارِبٌ: (K:) also explained as signifying a thing whereof one is ashamed: or as derived from [خَرَبَةٌ, meaning] “ contemptibleness, and disgrace, or ignominy: ” or it may be
خَرْبَةٌ, meaning a single act [of a shamefal nature, or the like]. (Et-Tirmidhee, TA.)
