مَأْخَذْ

[A place where, or whence, a thing is taken: plural مَاخِذُ.] [Hence,] مَاخِذُ الطَّيْرِ The places whence birds are taken. (K, TA.)

A way [which one takes]; as in the phrase, المَأْخَذَ الأَقْرَبَ سَلَكَ He went the nearest way. (Msb. in article خصر.)
