أَعْوَلُ

i. q. أَشَدُّ [More, and most, hard to be borne, &c.]: and أَعْلَى, occurring in a verse of Aboo-Dhu-eyb, signifies the same, being formed from أَعْوَلُ by transposition. (TA.)
