بُرْقٌ

[Lizards of the species called] ضِبَاب, plural of ضَبٌّ. (IAar, K.) It is apparently plural of بَرُوقٌ or of أَبْرَقُ: more probably, I think, of the former; from the raising of the tail, which is a habit of those lizards.]
