بُرْقُوقٌ

, (K,) with damm, (TA,) [vulg. بَرْقُوق, The plum; or] small إِجَّاص [or plums]; (K;) known in Syria by the name of جابزك: (TA:) and (as some say, TA) the مِشْمِش [or apricot]: a post-classical word [probably arabicized from the Persian بَرْقُوقْ, which is applied to both the fruits above mentioned]. (K.)
