سُودَدٌ

a subst. from سَادَ, verbal noun سِيَادَةٌ; signifying [The rank, station, or condition, or the quality or qualities, of a سَيِّد; i. e. chiefdom, lordship, mastery, &c.; or] glory, honour, dignity, (Msb,) or eminence, exalted or elevated state, or nobility: (M, Msb:) or this word, (S, M, K,) and its vars. سُودُدٌ and سُوءْدَدٌ (M, TA) and سُوءْدُدٌ, (M, K,) of the dialect of Teiyi, (M,) and سُوِدٌ, (M, K,) are synonym with سِيَادَةٌ (S, M, K) and سَيْدُودَةٌ as inf. ns. of سَادَ [q. v.].
